hey gorgeous... welcome to barcelona
Barcelona is anything but gaudy, Catalonians capital truly is a majestic sight to behold with its incredible culture, artwork and architecture which is easily found all over the city. Gaudi's stunning cathedral - Sagrada Familia, watches over the bustling city. It's world heritage UNESCO site is still under construction, though we do know queens that take longer to get ready.
There's no end to where you can find some incredible places to eat and drink, especially around Las Ramblas but if you want to head to the LGBTQ+ district then move that booty over to the Eixample district, cheekily known as Gaixample, where you can find so many options of venue there's something for everyone!
Luckily, you can combine your city escape with a beach break here in Barcelona and find some gorgeous beaches, and even some spots where you won't need to worry about getting any pesky tan lines!

In the late 70s, Spain’s LGBT community rejoiced as homosexual activity was legalised across the country. All this meant was that they could no longer be sent down for going down after a night out – something they’d been doing since the beginning of time anyway!
Today, Spain is one of the most liberal countries in the world in terms of LGBT freedoms. In fact, according to a 2013 study by Pew Research Centre, a whopping 88% of Spanish citizens accept homosexuality. Join us in raising a glass to Spain who came out on top (or so to speak) against the 38 other countries who were polled!
Just off Las Ramblas is El Cangrejo, though you'll find a similar bar of the same name in the Gaixample district, this one is known as Barcelona's original gay bar and now hosts fab drag shows and epic dance nights. Some of Barcelona's clubs mimic the incredible architecture the city is known for and are absolute wonders in themselves.
For the most beautiful clubs you'll need to see Versailles, La Chapelle and Mykonos bars. There's just too many options, drag bars, bear bars, cruising bars, beach bars, Latin bars and of course rooftop bars! There's nowhere more perfect to admire the view of Barcelona by night than at the Sky Bar at the notorious Axel hotel.
