Begin your holiday in the vibrant capital of Argentina where you can spend your time discovering the fantastic culture and history that make the city so unique in Latin America. Next head off to the almighty Iguazu Falls for one of South America’s most impressive highlights before crossing the border into Brazil and flying onto the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro. To finish the trip, enjoy three nights relaxing on one of the 28 beaches on the Buzios Peninsula.

Arrive in the famous capital and transfer to your hotel, ready to enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace. We suggest taking a stroll from your centrally-located hotel, getting your first glimpses of the city's architectural and historical riches.

A guided city tour of Buenos Aires is a must in order to uncover its rich history and to discover the various barrios that make the capital such an iconic place. The tour will take you to the main highlights and you will then have the afternoon free to go back to your favourite places.

day 5 – iguazu falls

This tour of the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls will offer a more panoramic view of the national park. Today you will witness the full scale of the size of these majestic waterfalls!

Unique Experience - Dinner and Tango Show at El Aljibe

Tango is synonymous with Buenos Aires so whilst here, do as the Porteños do and go to a show. This intimate venue will showcase the best of the city’s musical and dancing traditions whilst you enjoy a 3-course meal with typical Argentine ingredients.

 

Local Experience - Tigre and Delta del Parana

Tigre is a charming and lively town just outside Buenos Aires. Take a scenic cruise around the town's unique suburbs, built around the swampy land and meandering waterways that empty into the Rio de la Plata.

 

Buenos Aires - "Remarkable bars tour"

This is the ideal tour for those willing to learn about the historic and cultural heritage of the city through its bars and cafes, which are such an important tradition for Argentinians. Along the tour, you will visit different districts of the city visiting some of the 73 cafes and bars declared by the city government as "Notable" because each one of them features some representative characteristics of the Porteños, their arts and their history.

(NB this is a city tour of the 'Notable' bars, not a bar crawl for all those who like a drink)

Fly to Puerto Iguazu and on arrival, enjoy a visit to the Argentinian side of the falls. Walk along the rim of the cascades and witness the power of the water plummeting into the river below. Reach Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), Iguazu Falls’ undoubted star with 14 cascades tumbling over 80 metres into a cloudy mist as they hit the frothing water below. Following your visit, you will be transferred to your hotel on the Brazilian side.

day 6 – iguazu falls to rio de janeiro

Take the short flight to Rio de Janeiro and settle into your hotel by Copacabana Beach. Spend your free evening by the beach sipping a Caipirinha whilst watching the world go by.

Visit the city's most iconic sights. Catch a train to reach Corcovado mountain, stand by Christ the Redeemer and enjoy the stunning views of the bay below, before riding a cable car up Sugar Loaf Mountain for the awe-inspiring sights of the city!

Adventure Experience - Guanabara Bay Schooner Cruise

See Rio from a different perspective by taking a schooner cruise around Guanabara Bay. From the water, you will admire the districts of Botafogo, Flamengo and Urca, as well as the Sugar Loaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer and Rio-Niterói Bridge.

 

Natural World Experience - Botanical Gardens Tour

Founded in 1808, the Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro is one of the most important global research centres in the botanic world and in the conservation of biodiversity. Huge trees decked with orchids contrast with giant water lilies, bromeliads and tropical foliage, in these lush gardens that are a must-see for nature lovers.

 

Rio de Janeiro - "Carnival Experience"

This is an experience behind the scenes of Carnival. In the complex of Samba City, where all samba schools have their creation warehouses, a hostess explains about the history of samba, allegories and the Carnival parade in Rio de Janeiro. It goes around the warehouse with customs and parade items in progress and guests have the opportunity to try the costumes, feeling a little bit of the Carnival essence. You also will have time to taste the traditional caipirinha, a cocktail made with cachaça (sugar cane hard liquor), lemon and sugar, before heading back to the hotel.

day 9 to day 11 - buzios

You will be taken to Buzios for a three-night stay. Buzios is a small town on a peninsula which is home to over 20 stunning beaches. You can spend your time relaxing in the famous Brazilian sunshine or perhaps take a schooner trip for some world-class snorkelling.

day 12 - transfer to rio for your onward flight

You will be taken to Buzios for a three-night stay. Buzios is a small town on a peninsula which is home to over 20 stunning beaches. You can spend your time relaxing in the famous Brazilian sunshine or perhaps take a schooner trip for some world-class snorkelling.
